I have been meaning to share this and keep forgetting. If you’ve been following Cade’s story from the beginning, you know that Chris had a tumor when he was a child as well. Because of this, Chris has a scar up the back of his head.
Wednesday I had to get away for a little bit. I went to the cafeteria to get some coffee and lunch and just breathe a little. Chris was sending me updates of things going on down here and Cade was continuing to be a champ 2 days post op getting up at the side of bed to pee, eating, taking his medicine, etc. Then Chris sent me this text and it melted my heart.
Cade asked him “do you see what’s on the back of my head?”, Chris told him yes, and said he had the same one. Cade then said “can I see?” Chris showed him, and Cade told him he wanted to touch his scar. ♥️ ♥️
I hope this gave Cade strength to know he wasn’t alone.
